Large scale Finite Element Analysis was carried out on a proprietary device called COMBITEST switch fromABBIndia Ltd.

Reduced-order lumped model was developed to capture the mechanical motions of the switch parts.

Design changes suggested to decrease/eliminate the interruption in the COMBITEST switch.
